First it started with some sunflowers last fall.
 

We had to measure how much they grew.

We also recorded the data and drew the flowers in our science journals.
 
 
 
 

Then we took out all the old seeds from the center of the sunflower.

We waited till weather got warmer and the winter season was over
 
 

and planted the seeds again. 

Here we are planting more flowers from PTO.
 
 
 

The older kids got in on the action after the base donated more flowers .
