DoD Dependents Schools
Immunization Requirements

Students who enroll in DoD Dependents Schools (DoDDS) must meet specific immunization requirements.
These requirements, displayed below, represent the minimum immunization requirements and DO NOT necessarily reflect the the optimal immunization status of a student.

Oral Polio Vaccine(OPV/IPV) (OPV/OPVC)

4 doses of Polio Vaccine (oral or injected), last one of which was administered after the 4th birthday.If started at age 7 or later, a series of 2 doses plus a 3rd booster dose.
 
 

Diptheria, Tetnus, Pertussis*(DT/DTP/DTaP/Td) (DT/DPT/DPTC/Td)

4 doses given singly or in combination, at least one of which was administered after the 4th birthday. If started at age 7 or later, a series of 2 doses plus a 3rd booster dose. A Td booster is required ten years after the last DPT.
 
 

VaricellaCHPO

All unvaccinated persons who lack a reliable history of Chickenpox must be vaccinated. Persons 13 years or older should receive 2 doses at least one month apart if not previously vaccinated or did not have chickenpox.
 
 

Hepatitis B(HEPB/HBC)

3 doses of Energix, Recombivax, or Hepatitis B are required. Those not vaccinated in infancy must begin the series before entering school.
 
 

Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR/MMRC)

2 doses of live attenuated vaccine given singly or in combination at least one of which was administered after the 4th birthday.
 
 

PPD/TB tine/monovac

TB testing is required yearly after 1 March.
* Pertussis immunization is not required for individuals older than 6 years of age.
 
 

YOU MUST HAVE A COPY OF YOUR SHOT RECORD AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION!
