The US Museum of the Past and Present
The presentation started out as two students were being guided through a living museum of statues who spoke about and acted their important roles in history. Take a walk with us as we show you how the past and present are so different from today.
This was the the first exhibit of Ruby Bridges and her mom. They were also joined by two federal agents who walked her to school each morning.
This is a picture of our Tuskegee
Airmen who fought in World War II.
This is a group of women, including
Rosa Parks, who stood up for what they believed.
Jackie Robinson spoke about how
he felt about playing for the Major Leagues.
This was Louis Armstrong and
how he started off as a cook,
but ended up using writing as a means to express himself.
Another famous person, Louis
Armstrong. He spoke about the song "A Wonderful World" and why he
believed that even in the midst of all that was happening then, there was
plenty to be thankful for.
Next they went to the museum of today as they saw how things really were different. Instantly Louis Armstrong's song began to play and more statues of children today started playing.
We are so thankful
to live in a world today where race is no longer an issue. The children at
CT Joy and all over the world have truly benefited from those who stood up
for what they believed years ago. This was our tribute to them and to all
who live in this world today.
